Quite disappointed with the food at this place. I ordered baked eggs that tasted ordinary, the bread tasted stale. my eggs had a hair in it, so i left the eggs after a bite or two. I ordered a vegan stack instead which was a salad having sundried tomatoes, spinach, pear, pumpkin, haloumi that did not seem to go together. . Everybody else’s meals were ordinary too except that they got a lot of bacon, which they loved. The place is in a great location, wish they put more effort into the food.

Amazing food and great service. The staff are super friendly, even sung happy birthday to my fiance and placed a candle in her breakfast. We have been twice and both times we have been very impressed. We will continue to go here and recommend it to our friends!!

While the service was acceptable, both the cutlery and menus remain outside gathering dust and grime. Around Glen Iris, Beans Rpublique has gained a reputation of having excellent quality coffee and good food. My experience here resulted in a bitter latte that two sugars could not fix, a decaf option which was 50 cents extra and a serve of pancakes that almost gave me a cavity while eating. While the butterscotch sauce was enjoyable, the pancakes were doughy and the caramelised bananas mushy. It could do with a rasher of bacon or something to break up the overpowering sweetness of the dish. The two people working were very friendly and were happy to serve us which was good but the chef himself brought the food out which was a bit odd. Maybe they were short staffed today? Im not sure. Overall a subpar experience and I would return but most likely only for a hot chocolate or a weak latte.
