Very nice chicken and avocado sandwiches. Full of flavour and coffee today was really good. Service was nice and friendly, I just felt they had a slow day.

Very overpriced chicken schnitzel baguette ($13). Bread didn’t taste very fresh. Coffee was average. Cupcakes were nice but overpriced at $4.50. Better off heading out to one of the cafes on Glenferrie Rd!

Coffee here is average at best. Often I get a very bitter coffee, I have a feeling they don’t clean the machine daily. The food is extremely over priced for what you get. Although when you get the early in the morning the coffee is generally better. The staff are very friendly.

What a waste of a great location. The careless service really kills this place. The coffee is smashed out without care:(
The cakes are expensive but delicious
A little more care would really make this a winner

Im surprised by the low ratings of this place because everytime I come I get served only consistently fantastic coffee! Not bitter, so good! Also got a chicken wrap and passionfruit cupcake! Delicious! Shall return very soon

Decent selection of pastries, muffins and sandwiches. Would like to see more salad options; there was only 1 in the window.
Coffee is ok, has a bit of a funny taste to it – not sure if it’s the milk that was used. Toasted salmon bagel is spot on. Good work. Staff are friendly and the venue is surprisingly very clean for a shopping centre eatery! I’ll be stopping by again next time I go shopping here.

If you’re going to brave chaddy and in my humble opinion, the nightmare that is finding parking, ducking and weaving the throngs of prams and dawdlers and need some respite from the frenzied mass hysteria of bargain hunting then this is one of a very small selection of places at Chadstone worth trying.

You must first accept that this is not a regular cafe and that you will be disappointed if you expect table service (you will be lucky if they find your table at all) or any of the finer touches Melbourne cafes mostly offer. Having made your peace with this there are some good foods on offer here and hit or miss coffee and relative to the madness that carries on in the rest of this megalithic temple of consumer worship it is an oasis of business people looking at spreadsheets on their macs and mothers spooning baby cino froth into their toddlers.

During busy periods you may find it hard to grab a table and often you will see people loitering, hoping to sit down as the other gets up and before the seat has had a chance to cool (I have also been guilty of this). The outside section is particularly busy when the weather is nice.

I have tried a bunch of things on their menu and can recommend the turkish dumplings or the chicken toasted sandwiches in the window. They also have decent salads which change daily and a bircher muesli which is not bad (not great). Their breakfast menu is pretty limited but the avocado with goat’s cheese on toast with a side of poached eggs and crispy bacon is fairly priced and pretty tasty (see pic). The coffee I had was not so great but I have had good coffee from here in the past and even when its sub-par its still better than 90% of the other places at chaddy.

Overall, reset expectations, order well and this will be an enjoyable experience.
