Beautiful rolls, you can either get yourself a delicious vietnamese one or make your own! The bread is always so fresh and the prices are amazing and it’s the only place you can get a yummy vietnamese roll in the area. They also sell pastries and pies which they make themselves in store. Always stop by when I’m in the area 🙂

My partner has been raving on about the banh mi from here for such s long time now so we came past today for me to try. We got the barbecue pork (which is essentially a meatball) and the barbecue chicken to share. I didn’t really like the pork so I had a couple bites just to try and had the chicken instead. The banh mi was nice and filling with fresh ingredients. The shop itself had a variety of pies, pasties, rice paper rolls, sweets and bread to buy. We got a jam donut to take away which was yummy. Service and pricing is good.

Truth be told, not the best or most authentic Banh Mi you can get (my background is Vietnamese so I know what I’m talking about) but come on, where can you get a roll in Malvern on Glenferrie Rd for $6.0?

I’ve tried BBQ chicken roll, prawn/BBQ chicken rice paper roll, and BBQ chicken salad (I don’t think they advertise this on menu boards but you can ask).

They also sell pastries and lately I was really surprised to know they made them all at the shop (I stereotyped that as such a small shop they might buy from somewhere else and just resell but I was so wrong); so I tried the pain au chocolate and though I don’t have a sweet tooth, I was impressed.

As summer is coming, they’re selling Vietnamese ice coffee (filter coffee with condensed milk and ice cubes) – yummy!

Best Banh Mi (roast pork roll with patte) in the area – friendly staff. Great price too – only 5.80 with extra helpings of fried onion etc. Would definately recommend for a quick lunch or snack. Will come back again regularly.

This place is truly fantastic. Lovely flavourful food all for pretty cheap. Only thing is on the rare occasion the ordering is a little slow but this is understandable considering how popular they are and the amount of customers they get.

    Overall great food would recommend!

Max $6 for a sandwich filled with meat and cucumber/carrot/coriander/lettuce/red onion.

It’s pretty popular with the work crowd and lines sometimes go out the door but the staff are fairly quick.

Cheapest feed on this part of Glenferrie Road.
