The wait staff greeted me with a lovely smile upon the arrival and was helpful when I asked her about the difference between 2 ramen with pork. I ordered ramen with roasted pork and also asked for a free miso soup advertised on their window. Then I was told that I can get a free miso soup with my order but I already have soup with the ramen. Then I waited for 20 minuets while there were only 2 other small tables in the restaurant and one was nearly finished with their food. The ramen soup was good and the ramen was properly cooked with tenderness and not overly done. However the pork was more like poached and lacked of flavour instead of roasted. And of course the miso soup didnt come. 1 point to the welcoming greeting and the other point to the ramen soup
Ordered the Miso Ramen and Curry Katsu Don via UberEats. Ramen was bland and the Curry came with extra hair. Pretty disappointed with this place. Never eating here again.
Cute little ramen store near the corner of Glenferrie and High Streets. I ordered the yasai croquettes and the miso ramen $21.50 total. One of the croquettes filling was sweet potato and the colour was purple! Very quiet for a Wednesday lunchtime. I was the only person in the store at 12.20pm. A solid 3.5 from me 🙂
From the pictures, it looks good. However after having the local Hakata Gensuke and Shinuko, the place seriously cannot compare.
For $12.90, you get a small bowl of Pork Char Siu Ramen with an egg #toosimple. The soup was the only nice part of the meal, and can in a way compensate for everything else. The meat was hard, noodles was over cooked (and pretty sure it’s from an instant noodle package) and the egg was close to hard boiled…
Service was descent as waitresses were all very lovely. However, that wouldn’t be the reason to why I should ever come back…
Totally tasteless Ramens ever eaten so far by the most friendly staff.Would have appreciated the efforts since running a restaurant isn’t easy but nothing that we ordered was worth mentioning.
Avoid this place! Don’t be fooled by the Japanese decoration and furniture, the resturant is managed by Chinese – I’m not saying Chinese can’t cook Japanese food but the food we had was horrible and overpriced.
Waited over 20 mins for Curry Katsu don $13 and Unagi (grilled eel) Don $14.5. Chicken Katsu was very dry and overcooked. Unagi Don was just a rip-off! Tiny piece of grilled eel on large portion of rice. The balance was just wrong.
Not a pleasant dining experience. Will not come back again. Service was poor, I think the waitress tried to be nice to us because she knew we were not happy.
After reading all the negative review I doubt why this resturant still exists!
Exceeded our expectations, came here in a quiet night, we ordered the signature Ramen, and eel fried rice. The Ramen stock was surprisingly nice, better than other fancy new Ramen shops. Missing a bit more pork bones flavour. Anyway good service. We could come back.
