Well priced, well cooked Chinese food. The steamed salted chicken was very good. And it pays to explore the Chef’s Specials part of the menu to find the true culinary gems, rather than just from the basic Australian Chinese dishes.
Came back since my last review below, and the dishes were not consistent with last time. My hot and sour soup was undercooked amongst other things. So disappointing.
Compare to how it looks on the outside, it’s surprisingly good food. Low prices and very solid. The hot and sour soup, duck and Mongolian beef were all quality. Spare yourself the outrageous prices of other Chinese restaurants in the area.
2.50 BYO is a steal.
A very neat, clean & welcoming atmosphere. The service was great & the food was excellent. All topped off being quite reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.
Such a tidy looking restaurant nestled in Glenferrie Road Malvern. The waiter, Mei is so friendly and accomodating. Service is 5 stars! Food is also amazing and a great price! Every bite was lovely and we are so full! The chefs recommendations are the way to go on the menu! Will come again! Huge portions as well.
After three visits, a well recommended suburban Chinese, predominantly Cantonese. Pleasant and timely service from a waiter who is very familiar with the food and can provide guidance. Excellent starters, seafood and duck – both roasted and steamed. Reasonably priced and BYO, with a reasonable ‘per head’ charge for the pleasure – not like some ‘over the top’ by-the-bottle BYOs.
