Attention to detail for serving middle-eastern food is not that common in Arabic resturants since the flavour is the priority not the look. but Zikrayat’s chef has put those two together very carefully, while staff & manager in the front look after their guests very well in a very spacious & clean restaurant. i did my first visit tonight and there are many more visits to come. for Saturday nights we’ve been told there are belly dancers.
& 1 last thing, don’t forget their Mahlabi for dessert.

my partner and i were looking forward to trying this place, we’d walked past a few times and seen good reviews on here so we thought we’d give it a go. We were a little disappointed with the food, we order hummus and bread to start, the bread was warm but was a round piece of pita that was seemed store bought and didn’t taste homemade at all, the hummus was nice but so much oil which had such a strong vegetable olive taste to it which made it hard to finish. We then shared the Tahini Chicken which was nice but would have been nice served with something to have it on like more pita crisps it came with like 6 tiny pieces or some pita, also was drizzled with an excessive amount of oil again which left a strong taste to it. we also shared Shish Tawook which was nice, fairly pricey at $29 for only three skewers for what was probably about one chicken breast of meat, the meat itself was delicious, tender and spiced beautifully, the rice also really good kinda tasted like it had been microwaved in a bag though. the salad again so much oil drenching it we couldn’t really eat it. The staff were so lovely though and thats why i’ll still give it three stars and we came in late so many why we weren’t served as well as what we had heard from others but a bit of a let down for nearly $70.

The food was ok, just a bit bland.

The service was poor, with a lot of upselling. Eg: The waitress started by saying they were too busy to do a la carte service for our table, we would have to select a banquet (the restaurant was about full). After some discussions we were allowed to select a la carte. All the meals came out together except one which was forgotten and came out 40 mins later.

The place is very noisy and for each birthday cake (there were three) happy birthday is blasted over the speaker system for about 5 minutes so loudly that it is impossible to speak. The same loud volume is used when a belly dancer comes out.

Went here last Saturday night and the atmosphere was amazing from the ambiance of the lights, a beautiful belly dancer shimmying through the tables and inviting people to shake their booties! and such tasteful food, nothing disappointed.
We had the best night, service was outstanding will be going back soon. Thanks Sam and team.
