Waited 45 minutes after paying, informed waitress of our wait, she seemed confused went to the chef’s. She came back stated that one Bento Box was out of stock and they had just started making the other one. After 45 minutes. Absolutely unprofessional, 2 waitresses were just hovering around the counter doing absolutely nothing useful, could have ensured that we got our food. I have also been here before, food is pretty average, really shouldn’t have come back. I also observed 4 to 5 people walk out of the kitchen and all go get bubble tea for 20 minutes, nobody got served food during the time the kitchen staff were hanging out. Afternoon of 18/11/2019 for any management that might be reading.Don’t go here, there are so many other options.
I used to come all the time but it’s really not worth coming anymore. They got rid of the samurai combo which was a great deal. Service is super slow, my precut meat was discoloured by prolonged exposure to air.

Definitely not as nice as the other 2 Ajisen Ramens I have been to. The first one who has said I can not have the gyoza steamed, only fried. They are steamed before you fry them! Also there is no chicken in the katsu chicken (see photo) and all 3 of our meals along with the chips were overcooked and dark brown.
My score 3.0 stars (avg of 3 visits). J and I had lunch here on Tue 28th Jan. Service pleasant each time. Self serve water. Tables and chairs surprisingly comfortable. I had Gyoza ramen ($14.80) – Noodles ok (at least they were firm). Nice umame broth with sesame oil flavour, lovely balance. 6 pork Gyoza – moist and gingery as usual. J had Tofu curry with rice ($13.80) – It came out a long time after my ramen! Generous tofu and nicer (softer inside) than last time. Veg same as last time. Huge serve of rice. Sauce spicy like last time, but also had a touch of bitterness. Aug 2019. Tofu curry ($13.80) – 6 large triangles fried tofu, crispy outside, moist inside. Large serve jap rice, vegie curry of carrot, cabbage (pieces a bit big) potato, pumpkin. Plenty of sauce, quite spicy build up. Rice plentiful but not particularly warm. Tori karaage bento $(15.00) – 3 chicken Tori balls. Pretty “well done”, crisp on outside but moist on inside. Gyozas and yakitori chicken nice again. Prob too much rice for amount of stuff. Overall not great value IMO. May 2019. I had a Chicken Katsu bento ($15) – Reasonable amount of rice, large serve of mayo – small salad. Nice chicken yakitori skewer (good flavour and moistness), 2 small gyozas jam-packed with nice moist gingery pork. Moderate amount of crumbed chicken (moist inside and crunchy outside). For $15 I think the meal was a bit overpriced – esp with no complimentary miso soup.
