Had the chicken and waffle burger, and the kim-cheese fries. I found the burger to be crispy with the waffle buns holding it together nicely however the sauce could have been better. Also the kim-cheese fries were ace.
My sister lives in Maribyrnong so we travel out that way regularly. It was great finally stopping to try Gorilla Grill, the burgers are so good. The fried chicken and waffle is a genius idea, great chicken but the waffles are so, so good! Just enough maple syrup, all the flavours are so good together.

Was disappointed that the chicken in my waffle was dry and firm, and didn’t feel very fresh, or perhaps it had been over cooked/deep fried. In either case, I thought the chicken was the weakest part of the waffle burger, as I loved the golden syrup and mayo sauces that complimented the waffle very well. My friend had the Krusty burger, and again I thought the chicken was quite firm and stringy beneath the crusty crumb layer. I did however, love the kim-cheese, being a huge fan of kim chi and thought it was a great idea for chips. Although I may have gone on an off day, there are too many other burger joints nearby and afar for me to try, and not sure I’ll be back anytime soon unfortunately.
