Service is crap, waiters seem disinterested in providing good service, almost felt like plate was being thrown at me when served my meal, food is mediocre and over priced, I also don’t need to see a dirty trolley that is used for dirty plate pick up then tipped in a bin near me while I’m eating, splattered dips never did appeal to me, left there feeling disgusted. Never ever again!!
Riviera is located next to Edgewater lake / Maribyrnong river, which offers a beautiful sunset setting for dinner with friends . It is a Lebanese restaurant so alcohol and pork are not served here. The restaurant is spacious and has plenty of outdoor seating along the river. We came in a group of 4 and ordered the mixed grill, Lebanese sausage and trio dips. The food were served with a side of flat bread and crispy bread. The food was very well seasoned and quite good portion. The price was also very reasonable for the ambience. Quite a nice establishment for a relaxing casual dining experience with a view.
Overall the food tastes great but they are inconsistent with the quality.
The kibbeh Neyah is always a different size. I guess it depends on the generosity of the chef at the time. It usually tastes good but the last time I was there it was tasteless. It was just raw meat and nothing else. I sent it back, this time it was a little better but not the usual quality. The disappointing thing is I went there specifically for that dish.
Came here for a staff end of year dinner. It had a very lovely layout and the views of the river were just beautiful. The food came out really quickly and it kept coming in abundance. Definitely left with a full tummy. I didn’t try any of the meats but all the dips, chips, rice and salad was fantastic. May return here for a family outing soon.
