I am really not sure where to start. It somehow felt like daylight robbery.
I can understand that the prices of food and beverage are higher in airport terminals regardless of the cuisine, but at $16.90 per bowl of noodles, none of what we tasted were close to average amongst the three of us.
My Malaysian Beef Noodle Soup was an utter disappointment – whilst laden with carrots and bukchoy (as with all other soup noodle options) the beef was dry and the only flavour I could gather from the whole dish was a hint of star anise.
My friends Penang Curry Laksa wasnt much better. The grainy and chalky broth lacked the punch of an authentic laksa.
The only saving grace was my partners wontons in his wonton noodle soup. The soup was a miss but the wontons were a hit.
None of us could finish our meals as much as we tried to plough through it.
If you crave for Asian cuisine (without other options around) before departure, go for it, but do not expect authenticity
Honestly the most horrible customer service, they got the order wrong and needed to get a refund. The woman in charge told me two minutes so I waited, then it started to get busy so I let everyone else put their orders in and then went to ask for the refund again. Then she told me two minutes again, I end up standing there for 10 mins trying to get this refund and a scene is made by the employee and another customer. The woman I charge didnt even know how to give a refund she took 10 mins to go through several code of conduct books just to see how. Poor training and disgusting customer service
The only place where we usually eat when i sent my family before they boarding, their nasi lemak is not bad, and the beef bowl noodle soup surprisingly taste like malaysian bakuteh, overall good considering not many asian food choices in tullamarine.
The staff behind the counter recommended me the Malaysian beef noodle soup, apparently is one of their best selling dish. I’m not sure why they called it Malaysian beef noodle as there’s nothing Malaysian about it. The beef was quite tough and the noodles was hard and dry. It wasn’t a good dish and I will not order this again
