8 Ounce cafe is located in University arcade, just a hop, skip, jump away from Flinders St station to the perfect place to grab brekkie, brunch or just a quick coffee. My hubby ordered the classic Eggs benny with poached eggs served on brioche, hollandaise with ham. He said it was delicious & cooked to perfection.I ordered the 8 Ounce Brekkie combo, with House Granola w/milk, a light serve of Orange juice, smashed Avo with Danish feta on sour dough, and a poached egg, it was amazing! This cafe is very spacious, with a cosy atmosphere and friendly service.

8 Ounce Café is an absolute hidden gem! Located just off the bustling Flinders St, the cafe is a cavernous space – modernly decorated with hanging lights and plants that dangled from the high ceilings, which made for the most stunning atmosphere. We ordered the ‘8 Ounce Brekkie Combo’ which included the café’s house-made granola which has such great flavours and textures and was complemented beautifully by perfectly arranged edible flowers. We also got the ‘Overnight Bircher’ – I loved this bircher because it was unique in the fact that it included rice flakes, the tangy bursts of pomegranate and granny smith apple added the best zing! We also could not resist ordering the ‘Spanish Seafood Risotto’ which was phenomenal, all my fave seafood bits bursting with the richest flavour! The staff were absolutely incredible- so polite and ready to cater to whatever we needed. Between the excellent location, breathtaking décor, dedicated staff and the top-quality food; this café is a must-visit!

Good location as it is close to public transport and good hours. Staff were nice and friendly. Service was good. The hot chocolate and chai latte with soy milk is good. Prices were reasonable. Good variety of food and drinks.
