The new owners of Massi have kept all the lovely features of Benito’s but provided a tasteful renovation of the private booths and 1950’s European feel. The quality of the food has been lifted a peg or two (but Benito’s was always good).
Italian place, but doesn’t feel Italian. It’s just okay, no special atmosphere. Food and coffee okay.
This is my favourite cafe in Melbourne to hold business meetings over excellent coffee or a meal at lunch time. My go to meal is risotto fungi with truffle oil.
Traditional style restaurant with homely Italian food . Comfortable dining ,pasta dishes excellent , great for a business lunch as not too busy and easy to talk. Service excellent and food reasonable prices . Will return .
Was glad to find Benito’s open on a Monday night. Restaurant was difficult to find. Food unfortunately was not wow, bit pricey. Serve sizes great, fresh but overall disappointed. Risotto was so/so.
Good atmosphere with Italian flavour. Menu had some interesting options but not overly impressed with flavour of my risotto. Prices are moderate for the location. Service was friendly and helpful but there were very few other patrons on the night.
