Had to change my rating from 5 stars to 3- what’s the point of calling your restaurant Lucky Skewers when there are no skewers in the hotpot? This just went from to a typical boring hot pot place and for the price and I’d rather pay a little more and line up at David’s.
The restaurant sucks and the waitress is so rude and biased depends on how much the food u order…I personally recon the hot spicy stick on level three in the same building
1st impressions as you walk in is .. nice attentive staff and modern decor with a touch of PRC influenced interior. Tacky but not too tacky. From there its all about $$$$.
Starts with the waitress doing a hard sell on the beer! Then the sauce is $3 each person?! Skewers are $0.70 each stick. Premium items like 1 x baby octopus has 2 sticks poked into it.
Now what pisses me off!!! The bowl of tripe is $5.80 or something like that. What you actually get is one layer of tripe and underneath that is an upside down iceberg lettuce!!
No wonder at 7.30pm on a Saturday night there is only 4 tables! Pretty empty. The skewers are a novelty! The soup base at $30 odd bucks.. you wouldnt want to come here with just 2 people.
There are plenty of other hotpot places that have better soup bases and better pricing!!!
WIR? not any time soon but would give it a second chance.
