Walked past a couple months ago, which happened to be just after my Northern Vietnam trip.
Made a mental note to come back because I liked the menu and the interior design and feel. It’s very much a nod to the street-feel of Vietnam, with the little balconies and street signs.
The menu is a combination of Vietnamese favourites from the north and south.
I ordered the pho hanoi combination which had a surprisingly large amount of rare beef and sliced brisket.
The first thing I noticed was the consistency of the soup, which is much more viscous than any other pho I’ve had. In true northern style, it’s clean under the layer of oil, clear and very beefy.
The wafer-thin sliced onion is actually sweet and provides a bit of a bite.
Clean interior, quick service, it’s a great option for Vietnamese at this end of the city.
Wonderful meal, everything was reasonably priced and there were exotic seafood (snails and scissor clams) and comfort food such as the fish claypot (not pictured). We also had goat hotpot with one of my favourite asian veges () which I don’t know the English name for. Only thing is that the dishes are quite salty. Would highly recommend!
