Had the pleasure of trying these steak sandwiches over the weekend and I must say i was severely impressed! Couldnt ask for a better flavour combination in the El Suarez. Pickles, jalepinos, the sauces, olives! Everything you want. The steak was tender and not too thick which is the pitfall of most steak sandwiches that I have tried. El Chivi has revolutionised the steak sandwitch! will be returning again and again!
In a saturated Melbourne burger market, the El Chivi steak sandwich flavour bombs are something entirely unique. The food has been consistently delicious and fresh no matter which festival or event I’ve eaten at, and I’m so happy they now have a pop up location in QV so I can get my chivi fix whenever. The original El Chivi with added dill pickles is my fave 😉 They probably also do one of the best vegan takeaway dishes too!
Stumbled across this gem the other day. Went for the El Suarez loved the name loved the burger. The El Chivi hot sauce really warms the insides for this time of year in Melbourne. Recommend going there on an empty stomach.
I salivate over the thought of this delicious feast. El Chivi has nailed all aspects of a mouth watering steak sandwich, with fresh ingredients, real meat, none of that processed crap, very generous size and bloody well priced for such juicy goodness…all served by awesome funky staff. Cheers Team, I will be back!
Absolutely sensational, nowhere else in Melbourne will you find a restaurant selling authentic Uruguayan Steak Sandwiches and they are better than the ones in Uruguay. Will be back again and again until I am a ‘walking Chivito’
5 Star Food, 5 Star service. Genuine stomach filler and all round great time. Definitely booking this place in as a regular lunch spot! A friend spoke very highly of their new Vegan burger whilst Id advise the El Suarez with extra pickles!!
Easily the best steak sandwiches Iv ever had, steak was nicely seasoned and was so juicy and tender. Ill definitely be coming back very soon. Thank you el chivi team xxx
