We got here around 7.30 so it wasnt that busy, however the service was a little poor. We had a child with us, but you should avoid taking children here as its not very child friendly.
The chicken soup base for 4 was really good. The meat was enough and there was a lot of flavour. We ordered 8 other small dishes to go with it as per the arrangement. Could have been better if the restaurant could provide the sauces to go with it. If youre new to hot pot you really dont know what to have it with. The food take a little time to come out, suppose thats what hot pot is all about anyway. The waiter I should mention was the helpful one out of the lot.
The prices were decent as well, came to about $35/person and we also ordered some tea and rice on the side.

Good atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. There were 6 of us and we chose a la carte over buffet so we could choose a bigger variety of food. Everyone was pretty full and probably spent less than the buffet price. Would recommend.

Decided to try the hot pot buffet here for dinner on a Sunday night. Although the restaurant was rather empty, the waiters were extremely inattentive and service was unfortunately very lacking. The man taking our order was quite rude and abrupt when he spoke to us. After our first round of orders, the staff rarely returned to service our table or to top up the soup for the hot pot.

Although the service was poor, the food was relatively decent. The buffet would be a good option if youre a big eater. The quality of the ingredients is just okay (all frozen), but thats expected for its price point. Serving sizes for each dish is small but you can always ask for more. We had the half hot & spicy and half drunken chicken soup bases – both were nice and flavourful. Spicy soup was quite mild though.

We left feeling content and full, however the next day our stomachs felt rather uncomfortable. I suspect that this may be because the ingredients were not that fresh and have been frozen for a long time. Wont be returning anytime soon.

The spicy is definitely more sichuan which means a peppery burst that can feel like your eyeballs are on fire (if you’re a novice like me).

    Ordered:
Famous Hotpot set: Sliced beef, sliced lamb, prawn, mussel, lobster ball, crab stick, tofu & vegetable ($16.80)
+ mini pot change to double flavour mini pot $2
Steamed juicy pork dumplings: 6 pieces ($8.80)

    Review:
The interior was stunning. Littered with stations from HongKong (admirality, nathan) it was a nice trip down memory lane.

Hotpot definitely felt as though it prioritized quantity. I didn’t really feel as though it justified the ‘Famous’ part in its name because nothing really stood out. Everything was decent but nothing about the food would draw me back. A decent place for affordable lunch between 12pm and 4pm but nothing amazing or worthwhile lol.

If youre really hungry and dont give a hay about quantity over quality. This is the place to go too. The quality of the meat is nothing special. I just really really wanted to eat to my hearts content so I came here. I opted for the all you can eat and theres a huge selection of meat, vegetables, meat and fish balls, sauces and vegetables to pick from. You have the option of having two soups as well. Definitely reccomend the tom yum but tbh, I couldnt tell the different when cooking the meat with the soup. Unless you taste it with a spoon, the meats and what not all taste the same when cooked in each of the broths. My favourite meats were the lamb and the pork. I thought the drunken chicken tasted a bit off and I didnt like some of the marinated meats. Service was really quick. You order and it all comes out at once. They refill your soup which is nice.

Overall, I would return if I need a quick hotspot fix.

Be ready to get full. We ordered the 2 soup base – kimchi and clear. Both delicious. Favourite meat has to be the crab balls. Price is reasonable and service was friendly. Will come back.
