After having some yummy and not-so-yummy food at the Wednesday’s Winter Night Market at Queen Victoria Market we were yearning to have something yummy for desserts. They had just two varieties under the sweet section but both looked so beautifully appetizing that we had both of them and they turned out fabulous.

Apple Pie had the most perfect pastry filled with perfectly sweet caramelized Apple that had a hint of cinnamon….exactly how we like. But, Lemon Meringue Pie was even better. The perfectly sweet Meringue on top of the soury lemony custard inside a nice and crumbly pastry was a befitting way to end our food sojourn at this winter special night market.
Easy on pocket and full of Delish-ness, hoping to visit them soon.

Sometimes it’s best just to keep it simple. Tandori chicken had to much going on. Messy to eat and not cheap. As it’s a food van you need to eat it standing up which makes it tough. Pie was OK but not worth it.

These pies are the absolute best. The filling is what makes these so delicious. So fresh and good quality meet. Tandoori Chicken is 10/10 I really wish they would bring back the Thai Chicken Curry. That was the best.

Yum!. I had the ‘Tandoori Chicken’ (Chicken pieces simmered with home made tandoori paste, fresh baby spinach, lemon and a slash of cream). with mashed potatoes, peas and gravy ($8) which was very good! The mash and gravy included, made from real potatoes and stock. Though the mash isn’t as good as Julie Goodwin’s – best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had. Oh and service was great, the guy was very friendly.
