I was having one of those days where I didnt know what I wanted to eat for lunch. I wandered around and finally went to Emporium and thought noodle soup would be something easy and quick to order and eat.

    LOCATION
I Love Pho Express is located on Level 3 of Emporium Food Court. An easy to find location and plenty of seating area (if you avoid peak lunch period).

    SERVICE
There isn’t really any service. You look at the menu, go to the counter and order/pay. You get a beeper and the wait is a few minutes. Once your beeper buzzes you go to the counter and collect. Very straight forward.
You can see behind the counter 3 large pots. Each large pot contains different soup base for beef, chicken or vegetable.

    MENU
The menu is very basic and has the standard Vietnamese food: Pho, Spring Rolls, Rice Paper Rolls, Vermicelli Salad.

    I ordered:
Regular size Beef Soup Sliced Rare Beef Pho, $12.00

The small size Pho is $11.00, so for $1 difference you might as well pay for it.

    PRICE
Pretty standard price for a bowl of Pho.

    VERDICT
For quick Pho fix in the city I think I Love Pho Express is an okay place.
There were alot of beef slices in the Pho which was good, however they were all clumped together so you need to take time to separate them. They werent as thin as I had liked them, but at least its a little rare and it cooks through in the soup broth.
I felt the soup was a bit too oily (refer to photos). The beef soup base is tasty, I have to admit but its slightly lacking in the true authentic flavour.

At the counter there are self-service condiments, but I think a little unhygenic as the fresh cut chilli are just in an open plastic tub and the sauces in a jar are also open as well.

Came here for a hot bowl of pho. Ordered the regular size beef pho for $12. You can add all kinds of meat to this including beef balls, tripe, tendon, beef, etc.

Soup came super hot and tasted quite good.

    Rating: 3/5

Lunch on Friday, sliced rare beef, great value, beef/noodle ratio was good, chilli was hot, your in a food court so at lunch time its crowded, but for a quick fix pho it ticks all the boxes. It’s a 3.5 from me.

The pho is ok here. I like the broth which is flavourful and not very salty. Service is quick but not particularly friendly as they want to get the job done asap.
