Jap cafe is located in the new food hub near Crown. They offer poke bowl and Japanese sandwiches. On my visit i went the sandwich route. I ordered the egg mayo, pork and chicken katsu. The chicken katsu was quite nice, the slaw with it was a good compliment. The pork katsu was dry and tough. Egg sando was what you’d expect from a plain egg mayo sandwich. One serve is 1/3 of a slice of bread, not the best value for money.Service was friendly. Good that these guys are on Zomato Gold.
4.5 /5 I grabbed a poke bowl from here. The service was good. You pick your own ingredients to make your own bowl which I really liked. I had a rice base w chicken (cold unfortunately) cucumber, edamame, kimchi and sesame sauce. The bowl was fresh and very very tasty. This place is in a small space with several little cafes selling different cuisines. Overall this food was quite impressive.
Poor experience and food quality. Waited over half an hour for my one poke bowl. People who ordered after me got their food before mine. The salmon poke bowl I ordered which I thought it was raw salmon turned out to be cooked salmon and it seemed like it came out of a tin can. Found bones in salmon as well so had to return my dish back to the kitchen unhappy. Starving at this point and had to head back to work. Will defs not be back again.
