Eggs were just as good as in KL! Really reminded me of having kopi and Kaya toast in SEA, scratched an itch. The eggs were perfectly undercooked like they should be, but the toast was a little too chewy and there wasn’t enough butter or Kaya for my taste. The kopi was nice and strong though!Kaya toast: 6/10Eggs: 8/10Kopi: 8/10
This franchise from Singapore failed to live up to the great Singaporean culinary experience. The food that we ordered are underwhelming. The Mee pok was bland whilst the rojak sauce only tasted sweet. Radish Cake is the only thing that is of average in terms of flavour and consistency.
My score 3.75 stars (a bit patchy – some dishes good and a bargain, others cheap but average). J got takeaway for dinner from here on Sat 26th Oct (late arvo). Really lovely staff, large clean interior.Nasi Lemak A (fried fish and curry chicken $12.90) – Coconut rice was nice. Thick sambal was good, but tiny amount. Ikan bilis very good – crunchy but not fishy. Peanuts moreish. 2 small pieces of cucumber! 1 boiled egg was nice. 2 bits deep-fried whole small fish – crunchy, tasty, I ate the entire fish (J gave me the tail from hers). Was good, but would have been heaps nicer if eaten fresh in-house (I wouldn’t get takeaway fish again). 3 pieces of chicken and lots of really good curry sauce. 2 pieces were a bit light on for meat, but overall it was a generous amount and tasty. I would get the straight chicken version next time if having takeaway.Mee Goreng Veggie and tofu ($10.50) – Was ok. Tofu puffs were nice, but not heaps of them. Not heaps of veg really either, but PLENTY of noodles.Fried Kway Teow Seafood ($10.50) – Charry, very dark in colour. Quite thin noodles – would have preferred wider ones (texture of dish wasn’t quite right IMO). 3 prawns were a bit dry. Fishcake was nice, but cut very thinly – would have preferred thicker. A bit spicy, overall not bad.
Came on 30th Dec and they said Zomato Gold is not applicable until next year January. Not sure Zomato or Killiney lied.
We order seafood fried rice, maggie mee, and roti prata with milk. Their fried rice was ok. Their maggie mee was too sweet. Their roti prata was nice. Pls be note that they do not accept zomato gold eventhough in zomato page it is mention that they accept zomato gold.
