I was lucky enough to be the first one in line for the first 200 free burger deal at this urban bar and cafe. The vibe here was excellent. The cheeseburger I chose tasted like the maccas cheeseburger, but with a fresher taste. The fries were good too, but overall, food was average. Would come back to try the other food on the menu!

A couple of Easey’s establishments have popped up in the CBD taking up residence at a couple bars. Little Jax is the most recent and conveniently located near RMIT. It has a nice industrial fitout with plenty of space where you order up at the bar.
They’ve got plenty of promotions going on from their drinks down to their food. I got a simple cheeseburger and fries and we shared a couple pounds of wings between us.
The cheeseburger was a tad salty but the patty was juicy and bun pillowy. Just one of those moments where I can appreciate a simple burger without all the extra additions burgers have these days. My friends commented that their burgers were on the small side, but they did enjoy them. Fries likened to Macdonald’s but had a different taste to it being fried in a different oil.
We got a duo of sweet sticky BBQ and buffalo wings accompanied by a blue cheese sauce. The wings were on the skinny side and I’m not generally a fan of buffalo wings. I did however enjoy the BBQ wings mellowed with the sauce.
I’ve never been to the original Easey’s in Collingwood so I can’t really make any comparisons. A few of their items were on the small side but enjoyable nonetheless and we are happy to pay for quality if it’s warranted. They’ve got the full menu so expect most of your favourites to be available.
