Rude barista. The barista was very frustrated with me when I asked to change my order. I realise that may be annoying but I was the only customer there. I enjoy getting my coffee in the morning but certainly not at Nashi.
A wide cafe with a variety of healthy foods. The muesli nut clusters with yoghurt is compact with smoothe yoghurt. Toasted muesli and the berry compote adds a nice sweetness.Soy chai latte was overly steamed and hot.
It was cold and all I wanted was soup! Lucky I came across Nashi a healthy food joint which had a lovely soup of the day! For $8 I enjoyed this soup it was just what I needed.
I like this place, considering that their food is all ready to be picked. The salads are great – all under $10. Real value for money. Lunch is easy sorted.
If you appreciate customer service and expect value for money, Nashi at Bourke Place is best avoided. The service, if you can call it that, is appalling. The staff demonstrate a disinterest in their work I have rarely witnessed before. The three regular staff – I have had the misfortune of buying lunch there on more than one occasion – sneer at you with a certain disdain as if they are simply too good to be serving you. The consistency of their contempt for their customers is breathtaking. Perhaps they are conducting a social experiment of some kind or are out of work investment bankers, I don’t know, but there is really no excuse for this behaviour. I am not buying a renaissance painting that may justify a little snobbery, it is just a soggy sandwich. Ladies, a smile occasionally would not go astray and there is simply no excuse for being just plain rude. Whenever I walk past I am tempted to warn those unsuspecting customers about to incur your wrath. The sandwiches are overpriced too.
