A korean chicken joint with a few seats. Strong oil scent when walking passed the store.

Ordered the boneless chicken with the spring onion and snowing cheese. Semi crispy batter and the snowing cheese is amazing. Aromatic, cheese sticks to the batter well and chicken is tender. The boneless is enough to share for a few people and comes with radish to cleanse the palate.

This place serves Halal chicken. Reach 30-40 mins prior to closing time. We had reached 30 mins prior on a Sunday and they were closing but the staff was very courteous and they served us.
We were a group of 7 people we tried the jumbo flavoured pack & fries.
For the Jumbo flavoured pack we tried three varieties
The Swicy – which was okay
    Snowing cheese – MUST TRY
Freaking hot was spicy & delicious too.
The meal costed $18 Per person which was economical and worth it.

Nene is a chain from South Korea and has entered the Australian market on the Korean wave.
Melbourne now has an abundance of Korean fried chicken shops, so how does Nene compare?
Leave out the dosirak lunch pack youre not gonna get the full experience with fried chicken wings and a small thumb sized pot of sauce.
However I do like how they provided mixed grain rice, which feels healthier haha
The garlic sauce is very punchy (avoid on a date) and is my favourite.
They provide plastic gloves so you dont get smelly saucy fingers.
Sometimes its a bit of a wait, but you know the chicken is going to be fresh.
Its hot, lightly battered, crispy and juicy I like to go for bone-in pieces for more flavour.
The side of pickled radish is a bit sad though theyre quite small pieces and not cut as uniform as it should be.
The other downside is seating very limited, uncomfortable and there are loads of people either waiting or walking past, so you feel quite vulnerable hoeing into your chicken.

Fast food chicken, decent price and delivered on what it was.

6 original wings with a sauce, $6.95, satisfying for the price.
    Chips, $5.95, ok chips.

We live so close to Nene Chicken so it is super hard to avoid this place! Their fried chicken menus are yum! We like the honey soy flavour. Warning – if you cant handle the spiciness well DO NOT order the spicy flavour..omg I cried when I tried it !!! Never again But my friends love it!

Moreover, we always grab their matcha ice cream as our late night snack ! It is not too sweet.

  • Some Bunee Loves Food

Black sesame Soft serve is nice here but I didn’t really like the stickiness sweet spicy chicken as my pieces were full of batter. The snowy cheese bites were nice – like cheese flavored salted chicken. They provide gloves to eat the chicken which was thoughtful so you don’t dirty your hands.

  • Big Belly Full

The chicken wings were well seasoned, fairly crispy and quite oily. If youre waiting for your train to arrive or you have just finished uni or work, this is the place to have a quick bite if you want to satisfy your hunger for Korean fried chicken. Limited seating is available. If youre lucky to be seated, you can watch people walking by. Service is relative fast and friendly.
