Cute pies and distinguished by the face on the lid of the pie. Tried a mince pie that was compact to the lid. Juicy, solid and well flavoured. The pastry was fluffy and the base was crispy.
Famous for what can be likened to its ’emoji-branded’ pies, Pie Face is a quick, cheap, pastry filled chain with various fillings from sweet to savoury. I didn’t find either option terribly satisfying. I tried the Thai Chicken Curry Pie as well as the Apple Crumble Pie – both of which were (which I hate in pies myself) that horrible unbalance of too much pastry not enough GOOD filling.
