We stumbled across this place looking for a meal before we went to the Theatre and tired of the normal Italian – and we were not disappointed. The food was very nice and the service was excellent. We were going to order 2 rice portions and the waitress actually talked us out of it and of ordering a second starter – and she was absolutely right. We could not have eaten another thing. Beer on tap and a good range of wines. If you want good food served by super friendly and helpful staff, this is the place to go.
My wife and I were really eager for Golden Spoon to open; we have been craving a good, local, Indian restaurant, and wow — we have NOT been disappointed! Fantastic food, perfectly spiced (and willing to customise), super friendly and attentive service and a surprisingly delicious wine menu. We have been several times in the last month and can highly recommend it!
Dined here using groupon and it was one of the best value deals! We left very stuffed and satisfied. The butter chicken was very good but the desi style dal was my favourite of the two mains we had. It was spicy and creamy (didn’t look like it would be though) and not like anything I’ve tried before. Service was also exceptional. The servers were very welcoming, attentive and happy to accomodate. Will definitely come back again!
