Opting for something different, filling and light I enjoyed the Lentil salad with a Mocha chaser. Enjoyed some great conversation with random strangers and soaked up the atmosphere in this great little Melbourne laneway.
Service: always helpful
Food: walnut and tofu sausage roll was yummy and tasted like the real thing! Cookies can sometimes be very hard. Some vegan, some arent. The turmeric lattes are great.
Always good, nourishing food. Polite and efficient staff. Helpful array of other products and groceries. The tahini date bliss ball is perfection!
What a vegan gem!! Delicious donuts, cakes, sweet treats & savory delights. On the pricier side due to the type of food sold, but worth every cent.
Thank you so much for providing vegan options in the CBD, when everywhere else pretty much on Degraves Street/other neat little streets nearby were devoid of vegan items. I had the pleasure of being able to try various pies for breakfast for several days, and I just absolutely loved the shepards pie, the broccoli tart and the vegan brown rice Kashmir (sorry if I spelt it wrong!). The mushroom and lentil pie and danish were a delight as well. I enjoyed eating them on the little tables inside the shop by the side. Was a warm and filling wakeup call for the cold mornings of Spring!
Food for Thought 🙂
As our food becomes more and more industrially and artificially produced i.e. junk food it’s nice to know that some places are going back to a more natural way of doing things. The Organic Food and Wine Deli does just that. They do vegan snacks, things like peanut butter, jams, spreads, conserves, rice, milks, soft drinks and sweets. I ordered a Strangelove Ginger Beer, a Pico Super Dark Chocolate and A Seed and Bean Super Rich Milk Chocolate and I was really happy with the taste of them.
The Ginger Beer was delicious, crisp, natural taste not too sugary and the chocolate, the dark one was on the bitter and cocoa side as it should be. The milk one was awesome too. Prices are a bit steep but then as I keep telling my followers if you can afford to pay a bit more you generally choose quality over quantity. 🙂

staff are really easy going and friendly. the variety of vegan options is really thrilling and lovely. Adelle Yen & i got the lemon curd donut (which i found very dissapointing, especially for the price i paid for it ($5.50). it tasted really plain inside, would not order again) & chia banana bread (which my friend really liked, but i did not).
