Two Peck Crispy Chicken is all over the place, figuratively speaking. We ordered a variety of Taiwanese street food snacks to try and some were great, some were mediocre and some were just awful.

The great – boneless fried chicken, soft bone fried chicken and fried mantou with condensed milk. Both the chickens had a thin crispy batter, were well-seasoned and very succulent and tender. The fried mantou were deep fried to perfection, yet maintaining a soft center.

The mediocre – Taiwanese sausage and taro balls. Tasted alright but nothing that excites my tastes buds.

The awful – rice blood cake (aka pig’s blood cake) and lemon yakult drink with pearls. The rice blood cake was dry and tough, and far from authentic. The drink was overly sour, and the pearls were soft and mushy.

FYI, the highest level of spice can provide quite a kick!

I dont mind the chicken here. Its actually a lot better than hot star but I wouldnt crave it like how I crave KFC chicken. The chicken is really tender and juicy. The batter has a good crunch to it. Its actually quite overprice for a cutlet, $9.50, quite hefty if you ask me. You have a couple of flavours to choose from. I got the salt and pepper but I wish I went for the chicken salt. I also got the squid tentacles with plum flavour and I didnt really like it. The squid was white dense and hard. They also serve bubble tea which is pretty cool.

Overall, I dont think Ill be craving it to come back.
