Standard take away Chinese food. The chicken and sweet corn soup was average, I make better at home! The stir fry dishes and rice dishes are average. It was quite expensive for take out Chinese. A bit greasy, sauces are a bit too sweet like they just came out of the bottle like those supermarket sauces.
Recommended for great value take away. My wife and I have been ordering food here for over a year and keep going back. I love their take on Singapore noodles and my wife loves their fresh and simple vegetarian dishes.
Reheated food that wasn’t even reheated properly. Could hear the microwave being continuously used in the kitchen whilst I was waiting. The meat and rice ended up being cold in the middle. Don’t bother.
Not happy about this place several times. First time I got noodles and it was tasteless… I had to add my own sauce to it it was that bland.
And your chicken dumpling broth soup was well idk wat was in it- but after one spoon full I couldn’t finish it. :/

The worst meal in a long time. We ordered:
Chicken spring rolls – could not eat as they tasted disgusting
Salt & Pepper Prawns – a house special at $29 – completely bland and smothered in garlic
Sweet and sour pork – overcooked, tasteless and a sauce that was watered down
A very disappointing meal.
Avoid this restaurant!
Great food, lovely service and cheap prices. I love hermit house, the staff are really friendly and nothing is too hard, no broccoli, no problems! They’re fast, delicious and friendly, with prices that are not over the top, but affordable
