Lovely country bakery in the heart of Mildura. Although I couldn’t sample the food this time, the coffee was great and the service was friendly and efficient. Loved the charging station!
Not even once. What could be generously be called slop, consisted of burnt toast, shop bought Hollandaise, and processes ham. The coffee was bitter and contained homeopathic doses of coffee beans. How they could plate up this culinary abortion is beyond me. Avoid like the plague.
Decent Breakfast. After an utterly disappointing dinner the previous night at the much ‘hyped’ Verdict Tapas bar, we found this little bakehouse full of customers, so decided to go in. Good idea!Breakfast here was pretty decent, and a pretty large size.We ordered the Tasmanian breakfast of poached eggs, smoked salmon and hollandaise, and a scrambled eggs with bacon on toast, with mushrooms as an extra. Large hot chocolate, and a large capp.I had the scrambled eggs with bacon and loved the fact that they gave me TWO slices of toast smothered in butter. (You usually only get one in most cafe’s in Melbourne – with no butter!)Our breakfast was delicious and just a beautiful way to end our stay. The only thing I didn’t like was when a fellow lady waitstaff called the girl that took our order ‘stupid’ because she got the numbers mixed up – quite unprofessional and uncalled for. It ruined the ambience a bit and made us quite uncomfortable.OVerall, we’d most likely return to this establishment again next year for breaky when we are back 🙂
