I have to go with 1 star for the Mildura brewery, it was hard deciding between 1 and 2 stars, but based on the fact that the older lady behind the meals counter is rude and assists in no way shape or form, this is a 1⭐️ venue for me.The beer is good, the food is avg and apart from the bar staff, the assistance/wait staff are horrendous.Never again!!!!
I know it was lunch at New Year’s Eve and it could start to get busy, but I don’t think it is ok for the food to arrive for more than half an hour. It was good that I wasn’t really hungry when I was waiting but the wait really ruined the expectation for the food and the whole experience. Ordered Buffalo Wings and Steak Sandwiches. The wings were a bit salty for me who prefers light taste but was right for my partner. The Turkish bread for the steak sandwiches was really nice but the meat (steak and bacon) was a bit dry. Both meals came with chips and salad by choice, but they usually can’t go wrong. By the way, the black tea was really nice.
Would love to give this place a good review. The burger and fish special we had were great value and very tasty, the craft honey beer was fabulous and the interior, while noisy, was fascinating: a l9vely art deco hall filled with brewing equipment. That was probably worth 4 out 5. However, on the night we visited, things in the kitchen were not going well, and we, like everyone else, had a long wait for the food to arrive. In our case, it was 90 minutes. I did get an apology finally, but no explanation, except that they were busy. This was completely unacceptable, so I can’t recommend The Brewery, as much as I ‘d like to.
Went to dinner and place was busy as I know the food is always good. was told it was going to be half an hour for a table as I didn’t have a booking, That’s ok. So I grabbed a drink and sat at the bar and noticed a An empty table which I observed for 25min before I asked a waitress what is going on? Her response was interesting. She suggested the kitchen had to many dockets banked up and that was the reason we didn’t sit you at the table. Ordered the antipasto for one and the 350gm Scotch fillet and to be told they have no vegetables, I chose then beetroot salad instead, no beetroot salad. Disappointing for such a fine establishment.
