We go there twice a week to eat and daily for coffee. I would say don’t be put off by the shop, but they are currently closed for renovation, so looking forward to the new look. Food and coffee always spot on. Serves are large and very inexpensive. The friendliest of service. We are known by name. We have tried many of their competitors in the past but we have been loyal customers for about 12 years now. Try and you won’t be sorry.
I stopped in today and had a focaccia and coffee in store which were both nice and the staff were friendly. Low rating is for the muffins I bought to take away. They were both about 40% burnt and the bottom was stuck to the paper. We didn’t discover this till we were about 20 minutes away and no point going back. Such a waste to have to throw them away. Stop for a sandwich but avoid any of the cakes in the display cabinet.
We are a local business that uses Jacqueline for catering on our staff training days. Our orders are always spot on, tasty, and delivered right to our door with a smile at the requested time. They are great at making suggestions for our large groups and estimating how much food/drink we will require.
I’ve been here a few times however; I won’t be back again. Everytime I’ve been here the coffee has been average at best. The service however; is always bright and cheerful. Considering the 3 other cafes nearby this one wouldn’t be my pick.

Food is bad, the service was average, it’s not cheap either. If I wanted plain old eggs on wonderwhite toast I would have stayed at home.
