Went here on Father’s Day eve as everything else was booked out. Was sooooo surprised at the quality of food and service! We shared a shabu shabu dish and had soooo much fun cooking our food in the broth. Was lovely service and good food so we will def be back. Meljo
Have been eating here on a regular basis since they opened. We have always found the food extremely nice and have never had an issue. Staff can be a little reserved but mainly because they are students. Have always had the house special sushi and it is clean, fresh and delicious. The wafu steak melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this place. Have had take away from here too and assuming you don’t have to go too far before you eat it it is fine. Obviously gets average if you don’t eat it for a fair while but what take away doesn’t?
Always amazes me people that whinge with take away because it’s cold etc – what do they think it’s going to be by the time you get it home??
We had a good dinner at Sapporo, the Sushi was fresh made and the service was good too. To the end there pit the heater off and it was freezing in the restaurant!
Have enjoyed this place over many years and always found the food good quality and very tasty. It appears that the floor staff are a little bit inexperienced and maybe just students. But overall leave the place very satisfied.
100/100 do NOT recommend. Very impolite staff. Took the wrong order and blame the customer for not speaking clear enough for him to understand, super rude. Food is average and slightly not clean in terms of the floor and tables. Biggest nightmare and do not want to dine here again. Super disappointed
Nice interior and good service, dishes are taken away when it’s finished. Sat down and there was already a side of bean sprout in what seem like pickled sauce. Not an authentic Japanese restaurant but the food is decent.
Entree dishes took about 15 minutes to come out.
Takoyaki are flavoursome, croquettes are crispy and have a soft filling.
Mains, we ordered the katsu curry rice and bento. For both dishes, the rice is dry. There is a generous amount of potato and carrot in the curry and the meat is kind of bland. Bento box is not that great. The chicken is salty, tempura is okay but overall not worth its value.
Food here is so expensive for what it is, which is mediocre at best. Tried the Soft shell crab roll ($18) as it was recommended by another review on here, it was nothing special really. Curry beef on rice($14) was a huge disappointment, was just mostly potatoes and carrots, the small amount of beef that they did give you was very very bland. Chicken katsu resembles the frozen chicken tenders you get from supermarkets.
