**2.5 stars** So I booked this restaurant for Fathers Day I gave them a days notice and they confirmed over the phone that my table would be reserved for my time of arrival. I dont know what happened but when my family and I came in on the dot, there were already people on our table. It seemed like there were two sets of families on that table as one side had been eating BBQ and the other had probably just sat there or just ordered and hadnt received their food yet. Still, I will never forget the girl who was asked to leave with her dad saying as she left the restaurant: Im so embarrassed, Im never coming back here That was a sour start to our experience at this place. Anyway, after a couple of minutes, my family and I were seated down at our reserved table.
The food that we ordered for the BBQ were mostly great. In my opinion, the kimchi (as a side dish) tastes pretty bad. Ive been here three times and it continues to lack that sour, spicy and umami flavour. At least the other side dishes are better. In terms of service, staff members will cook the meat for you (unless you state otherwise). However, on this particular night, only one waitress was lovely while the rest seemed to be in grumpy moods. We kept feeling guilty (which as diners we shouldnt be feeling) when asking for something. Overall, not the worst place but its not on my top 5 list of Korean BBQ restaurants to eat at in Melbourne.
I been there with friends on weekend dinner. We order too much for meat. If you have more than 3ppl together can order the set menu. Include beef and pork. Provide soup rice as well. Good choice!
We had two bbq set for 5. It was bit too much and we had a lot of left over. The meat was bit chewy and cold as staff was quickly to cook the meat and left it on the plate. It wasn’t taste like authentic Korean.
