Since hubby and I came back from Europe we have been craving Italian food. And boy we were sooooo excited to have found this beautiful little restaurant. It felt like we have step back in time to our honeymoon in Italy.

Montibello is well loved by the locals, so make sure to book!!! The food is amazing food! I especially loved the ravioli and all the desserts!

The service was genuine and the atmosphere reminded me of the cute restaurants in Europe, even on a VERY busy night the waitress and owner had to time chat with customers and have a joke. There has to be a good culture among the staff as every seem to be enjoying working here and the customer service was at a high standard. I highly rate Montibello and I cant wait to visit again!

We came here early as we knew how busy it will get. Its a very popular place and boy did it not disappoint. We just came back from Italy earlier this year and we really missed the authentic cuisines and culture. Montibrllos food and customer service brought all the memories back from our Italy trip with their authentic Italian food and hospitable customer service even when they were full house. We cant wait to come back to try all the food on the menu!!! Highly recommend and definitely will be back.

Montibello Eatery is Montmorencys newest hotspot. Located at the bottom of Were Street in an enviable corner position, its also right opposite the train station. We visited on a Thursday night & it was a full house. The interior is elegant & simple, highlighting a large selection of wines & drinks. There was a real buzz about the place, only 5 weeks old, filled with customers and the smells coming from the kitchen were incredible.

The menu was extensive & impressive, we needed suggestions & ordered dishes to share. The staff were very knowledgeable about the dishes & so warm & friendly.

We started with the mussels, served with homemade focaccia to sop up all the liquid. The mussels were plump, fresh & perfectly cooked with a delicious broth of chilli, garlic, parsley, basil & Napoli sauce. We absolutely loved this dish & it seemed very popular with other diners too. We also tried the caprese salad which was a lovely light accompaniment to the mussels & our mains.

I cant resist linguine marinara if its on the menu & this one was sensational. The perfect balance of chilli, garlic & parsley with al dente pasta & a generous amount of seafood. We both really enjoyed this dish. The pizza looked impressive on tables nearby so we tried the capricciosa, the toppings were quality & the crust was thin & light.

The chef insisted on us trying a dessert & recommended the sfinci, fried Sicilian doughnuts, drizzled with vincotto & a strawberry salad. A perfect ending to our meal.

We were so impressed with the food & service at Montibello, a fantastic team & an already popular place in a short time. Id highly recommend checking it out but make sure you book in advance. Thanks so much for having us & your warm hospitality.

We were invited to Montibello tonight a small local Italian directly across from Montmorency station. 6 weeks young and fully booked, the locals are clearly delighted with this new arrival and demonstrated this with their rambunctious behaviour. It was near impossible to hear my dining companion owing to the extreme noise levels and full capacity. Lucky we were here to eat and not chat!

We started with a Margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella. Its not wood fired but the clay oven does the job equally well. Where the pizza was let down was by the bland tomato base. This was lacking a bold rich sauce and when you order a Margherita with very few ingredients to shine it has no room to hide.

Our mains were the silver John Dory special which impressed and the penne pasta. This was cooked very al dente which was ok with me but wasnt to taste for my dining partner. This pasta isnt made in house but several others are so when we learned that we had a small taste of the tomato based gnocchi.

Our desserts were the choc cherry semifreddo. This was rich and decadent and had a nice texture. The Nutella calzone was also a tasty way to finish. Nice modern interior too
