I love this place. Always fresh, delightful staff and best roti bread and peanut sauce in the world. I find the prices reasonable and the meals generous.
I wish they delivered!
Love the food here, never had a bad experience, great choice of vegetarian options too!The dcor is a bit dated and tired, could do with a facelift, the staff are friendly and always attentive.Make sure to book on a weekend as they do get pretty full with it being rather small inside.
This restaurant has sadly dropped in quality of food and service. Having eaten here for many years, I get the impression the owners don’t care any more. The interior is looking really shabby, the curries are inconsistent (sometimes watery, spicy when ‘mild’ had been requested) and orders are taking much longer to prepare. We waited for 50 minutes last week for takeaway (only 2 dishes with rice) and no attempt was made to say sorry. Just a shrug of the shoulders. Really disappointing. Luckily, as a consumer, I have other local Thai restaurants to choose from.
I really enjoyed Na Song Khla – ordered as a takeaway on a busy Saturday night. After placing a phone order, it was ready in 25 minutes which was great.
We ordered; beef and cashew nuts, chicken yellow curry, prawn pad thai, coconut rice, roti and tofu tod.
It was all really, really great. There was so much beef in the cashew dish with a flavoursome sweet sauce (equally though, plenty of vegetables). The curry was coconutty and tasty. The pad Thai was probably my least favourite but only by default as I tried the least of it however my other half said it was fantastic.
The roti was flaky and buttery whilst the coconut rice wasn’t overpowering and made a great accompaniment.
It was great value, tasty and probably one of my most favourite takeaways in a long time!
I couldn’t finish my meal, it was a combination of unhealthy and bland. My partner had about two bites of hers. These people need to ease up on sauce and get back to the fresh herbs and spices that Thai should be all about.
Was really wanting to like this place but the food was pretty bad. Edible but only just. We got the banquet which was plenty of food but the satay was so tough, the ‘salad’ was really fish saucy and the spring rolls just rice paper, no filling. The mains were better but again, not amazing. ‘Dessert’ was ice-cream and they had run out of vanilla. Disappointingly they put a fair bit of pressure on us to clear out quickly too. The staff were not really into it either. Won’t go back
I agree do not eat here. The calamari was obviously packet. The fish balls also appeared to be. The mains were very poor. Suggest Leelavadee in Templestowe for a good quality cheap meal or Peppercorn in Greensborough if you are happy to pay extra for quality.
