Small yet bustling cafe with lovely staff. Ordered toast with jam and butter and a mango smoothie. Although the toast was pleasant to eat I expected homemade bread but discovered it was store bought. The mango smoothie had the right consistancy however the mangoes blended were most likely green as the smoothie lacked flavour. Overall the experience was delightful, but the food needed a bit more improvement.
We stopped there to pick up some baby clothes my wife had ordered through a market stall, and had a very enjoyable coffee in the homely, cottage-like surroundings. We didn’t eat because it didn’t fit with our schedule, but the food others were eating looked very tempting.
Had a most enjoyable breakfast. Service was lovely and the Big Breakfast and Smashed Avocado was well up to scratch. Quaint decor and fairly busy, which is always a good sign. Well supported by locals. We are both looking forward to our next visit

Nice little shop. Great coffee! 8/10 for the coffee. I lived around the corner about 20 years ago and back then the shop use to be a milk bar… for many years it was one of those dingy milk bars… now the owner with a great imagination and determination has changed it into a great little coffee shop. Menu looked great. Food looked great. Doggy treats for sale. A must visit for locals.
We were going caf hunting today in the direction of Montmorency and did a sudden stop-and-reverse on Looker road after spotting a quaintish caf. Nestled among suburbia, Taffy’s has a couple of stand-out noticeables. There were bits and bobs for sale all around the dining room (baby clothes, lavender oil, candles, preserves etc) and quite a few family-size tables being occupied by pairs. And it was popular with seniors (average age 60-70), not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Service was friendly and our brunch was good. My dining partner had a sandwich made with giant, thick-cut bread (nice & soft) and my sausage roll was a solid 8/10. We initially requested an egg & lettuce sandwich but they didn’t have any boiled eggs. Next request was ham and pickle (no pickle) – My dining partner has simple tastes which they were struggling to accommodate but it wasn’t too much of an issue because they did have ham, lettuce and mayo. And that mayo tasted wonderful. It wasn’t house made (we asked) -but I want to go back and order something that requires that mayo. Coffee was 6.5/10… bordering on 7 but I can’t budge any further based on the foam.
However, I am curious about the rest of the menu and definitely will go back. PS I love the pendant-style Tiffany light shades too (two of them).
