Fun little local pub that we’ve been to many times over the years. Went most recently for a Saturday lunch on our wine tour through the area. Service was lovely. The food nice and very reasonably priced. I had the pulled turkey roll with chips. Very nice it was too, although I’d add a few leaves of salad and bump it up a couple of dollars as it seemed too lowly priced. I like it here and will definitely return.

Moonambel pub lunch. Had roast lunch today! Used to be a beautifully cooked home roast with yummy vegs. Today, tough, dry meat with no taste and very ordinary veg. No rolls either. Certainly wont be going back!!!

Wow, just loved my time here. Stu and the crew out back (Trish) served up some of the best home cooked fare in living memory. The Apple Crumble & Ice cream was superb. Looking forward to an encore sooner rather than later 🙂

How To Destroy A Country Pub and How NOT to serve up a sunday roast.. Well the new owners have done their best to take the country out of country pubs and boy have they done a great job. It was yellow outside now it is grey, and it gets worse when you get inside. Gone is the lovely timber bar replaced with something out of a lego set. But they didn’t have all the pieces and only seemed to have grey ones at that. Then the food. The Sunday Roast used to be so packed that you had to book! Well not anymore there was only six of us there and I think we all regreted being there. You had a choice between Pork and Beef. Both these meats had something in common. They were both tough. So tough you couldn’t eat parts no matter how much you tried. The vegatables were over cooked and cold. Now that takes some doing. Even the patatoes were tasteless. All from a packet I think.Never ever going there again!

How could they get it so wrong?. So sad to see a beautiful country pub be turned into a soulless grey ‘resort’. What were the new owners thinking? It used to be my favourite place to take visitors, or just go for a lazy Sunday pot. We were very disappointed with our tough meat and overcooked cold vegies. The place has lost all of its ‘spirit’ and charm.
