Darling street Espresso is hidden in the back streets of Moonee Ponds in an old converted house making it well hidden. They have a cute courtyard that is dog friendly and quaint dining area inside. It is perfect for a catch up with friends or family and if you have kids or dogs then they can cater to both.
Coffee here is always the same balanced, hot and served quickly. I normally order the Brekky Board $23 because I have a hard time picking what to eat on the best of days. It comes with a thick slice of bacon cooked crispy (its delish), two pieces of toast with smashed avo and a fennel and kale slaw (compliments the avo perfectly!), a pretty Granola Bowl and a glass of OJ. Perfect. It definitely leaves you satisfied so id sagest only ordering when you are hungry. On this occasion we also ordered the Open Omelette $19 which has an Asian twist. It includes Pork Belly, Japanese BBQ sauce, Wakame Salad and crackling. Also very filling with two types of protein but also light at the same time.
Service? Friendly and efficient.
Wrap up: Great local caf with everything you could want.
HOT TIP: They recently changed ownership so things could change. What this space!
Darling Street Espresso I can still remember the day I found this little gem, it was more luck then anything, taking a wrong turn and coming across a cafe camouflaging with the houses. Sous vide pork belly, chargrilled peach, buckwheat salad and most importantly CRACKLING!! oh god im salivating writing this. Prices vary from $15 to $23, and the services is always so friendly and helpful and just pretty cool… hurry up and just go #foodcravingmhh #foodporn #pork #breakfast #brunch #melbourne #darlingstreetespresso
This small cafe is perfect for enjoying the sun. I decided to order two dishes as couldn’t choose what to have. Both were presented beautifully and tasted just as good.
