Great place for drinks and nibbles to with friends. The friend mozzarella things are fantastic and the nachos were some of the best that I’ve had out.
Way overpriced!! Ate there yesterday and my Paleo Salad was about one third the size I would expect. I should have complained! My friends toasted Turkish bread sandwich had no filling – they at least filled it once she complained.
Perfect place for any occasion. Dinner with friends, drinks, Sunday brunch, Sunday arvo drinks. Side Street has it all. A huge fav of mine, even better bc it’s local.
Love the tapas menu, loads to choose from. I’m a big fan of the antipasto platter & the cheese board. Gluten free options available too which is always good, especially for me. The Gluten free bread is sourced from Rustic bakery, also in Mordialloc and the finest quality I’ve had for a while. I go to Rustic for my own gluten free needs since finding them via Side Street.
Staff are well trained and full of character. Cocktails are an absolute must! My fav being the Espresso Martini.
Upbeat funky tunes play through the sound system and live music is on at least once a week.
Side Street is perfectly decked out with indoor and outdoor dining, a courtyard out back for some air (or the smokers) and plenty more bench seats plus tables & chairs outside.
So thrilled this funky little bar came to Mordialloc, just what we needed. No need to travel inner city now..
If you want something more substantial to eat, just pop next door to their sister venue Main Street.
Side Street also cater for functions and the ambient lighting inside provides a warm welcoming environment. Cosy for drinks or anything really.

Always like going to side st. The staff are nice and the drinks are good. Tapas are decent too. They also don’t tend to pack the place out too much, which means if you get in you have some space and feel comfortable. The bouncers in the evening are usually very polite and friendly too which is a nice touch.
Been here a couple of times, kids pancakes were super dry. It’s just normal breakfasts nothing fancy, price tag doesn’t match its over priced.
Service is really good though 🙂 will be back very kid friendly too
