An authentic Chinese restaurant which will appeal to your taste buds only if you are familiar with the Chinese taste. I tried a variety of noodles like the singaporean noodles which were good in quality but a little bland. The quantity is good. A good place to have a meal on the go.

Not bad Chinese food, but not the best in the area. Visited late one Thursday night as this was the only restaurant in the area open. We stuck to the standard westerners chinese order, mainly spring rolls, dim sims, short soup and what not, but the food was nice. The atmosphere isn’t romantic but the waiter was friendly and we enjoyed our dining experience.

Went to Bambu Bridge for the first time yesterday evening for Saturday night takeaway. Always a little cautious about using new food outlets as you never know what your getting. Read several mixed reviews online although feedback generally tended to be positive.
Ordered food over the phone for my wife and I and collected the order myself around 25 minutes later…no issues. I ordered fried duck in plum sauce, soft noodles and chicken skewers. My wife ordered chicken chow mein and chips (although these were missing from the order replaced by crispy noodles which we did not order).
Collected my order from the restaurant and made payment to the female attendent of $55.40. Returned home with my order my wife and I both looking forward to our meal. On opening the food cartons both my wife and I were horrified by the poor quality of the food we had purchased from Bambu Bridge. My wifes chicken chow mein did not look fresh, the chicken looked grey and gelatinous. The sauce was watery and colourless.
I opened my soft noodles which were tightly pressed into a small round carton. They plopped onto my plate in one lump, were rubbery and slimey. My duck dish was grey in colour, meat did not look fresh and did not resemble duck at all. The plum sauce was pale in colour and looked more like dish water than plum sauce. The chicken skewers were tightly packed into a food carton. The top skewers had been squashed. Chicken looked processed and not fresh, satay sauce was pale brown, thick and lumpy.
My wife and I decided not to put our health at risk by sampling the food we had purchased from Bambu Bridge and I decided to return it with the expectation of being given a full refund.
I approached the manager on arrival and gave him an account of my concerns about my order. I asked for a full refund which was point blank refused by the manager who was rude, unsympathetic and argumentative all in front of the customers eating in the restaurant.
The manager refused to show me his returns policy telling me that he didnt have to justify not giving me a refund. The manager continued to insist that there was nothing wrong with the food despite me continually pointing out my concerns. He even told me that he would only refund me if I fell ill after eating the food, which I found very strange indeed. He also advised me to call the police and report him for refusing a refund, which I found equally as strange.
It was pretty evident that the manager had no regard for customer complaints, or consumer rights. It became clear that I was never going to be offered any kind of refund or alternative by the manager who showed me no respect as a paying customer.
I advised the manager of my intention to contact consumer rights services before leaving without my order. I did, however, take my order invoice and insisted that the manager provide me with his name and contact details, which he did.
Overall a very poor experience. Food quality poor, very poor customer service with no regard for customer satisfaction. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
