Fika is the closest thing in my opinion to an authentic Deutsch restaurant in the Melbourne Region!
The setting of the cafe and the euroesque furniture really added to the great atmosphere of the cafe.
The service was friendly and the food was fantastic@, kzesptzle was cooked perfectly and our cold cuts platter ‘war sehr sehr lecker!’
Amazing Atmosphere, Great Service, Good Food. The first thing that first grabbed me when I walked through the door was the amazing decor. The vintage leather chairs/sofas and velvet curtains exuded a sense of elegance. I had seen the photos earlier while browsing their website but being there in person was a whole other level of WOW!
The service there was also really good. Lots of smiles and happy faces. Being our first time at a German restaurant, we asked a lot of questions about the food and the waitress was sincerely happy to help. After ordering, she checked up on us to make sure everything was alright and even engaged in a bit of chit chat.
The food was good. It wasn’t amazing but it was good. The serving sizes were adequate but it would’ve been nice to get a bit more for the price.
In short, come here for the atmosphere and a nice (even romantic) outing with your partner. Just don’t expect food that will blow your mind.
Julue and peter. We were there for di nner tonight with 7 others. Great service. Connie was a wondefull hostess. Delicious food although pdrhaps a little on the small side. Very cosy almost like having dinner in someonrs home. We will be back and will spread the word.
Sue Barrell from Labelle Wine Promotions. The food was very unusual as it is mainly German dishes. Never having eaten German food it was the first time. I absolutely loved it as did my Husband. A German friend took us and the atmosphere was wonderful and the service was great. Connie is a great hostess and very friendly. All in all we had a wonderful dinner and a great time. I highly recommend the food as the flavours were exciting and different to anything I had, had before.
Great time. Our group of seven wanted somewhere to catch up and boy did we pick the right place! Food was very tasty, hosts/staff were wonderful and the restaurant itself was very comfortable. We will definitely be back!
Cosy German hospitity. Have been curious to try this place out since it opened and very glad we now have. Very nice service. Great food such as plates with meat, sauerkraut, salad & mash, & kase spaetzle. All in all very enjoyable and reminiscent of places we’ve been I Germany & Austria. With great beer on tap and overstuffed armchairs to recline in, I was sure an oompah band was about to strike up a tune at any moment.
Atmosphere. A great place with great food and drinks. Fika Weinstuble has a great atmosphere, fantastic dcor and awesome staff. We were welcomed with an enthusiastic smile and the service was great. Highly recommended.
