As a favour I brought in my plates and was asked by one of the waitresses if I wanted to pay for my order which I already had done.No apologies for the mistake and then to add insult asked after I was consuming my second coffees if I wanted to pay my bill again which I had done and have record of doing on my phone via my bank app and I am sure via your CCTV.
I understand there are lowlifes who try to skip out on their bills but I didnt and dont and to be questioned twice has left a really nasty taste in my mouth.
Perhaps some communication and accounting on your system who has paid for what order can avoid you unnecessarily embarrassing yourself and customers who have done the right thing.
Maybe also the relevant staff member needs to learn some lessons in diplomacy and treating customers with respect who have done nothing wrong.
