My family decided on ‘Mornington on Tanti’ for a last minute get-together during the week. I’d never visited before, but other family members had mentioned the food was quite nice. The restaurant itself serves pub-style meals is a typical bistro setting. The service was fine – to order you go up to the counter and pay as you go, so there wasn’t much to go by, but the staff were friendly which is what matters. The food itself was as expected – quite tasty in decent servings, but don’t expect fine dining! Overall, a nice place for a family gathering or cheap pub meal. Would be happy to visit again!
Saved the day- Great staff. We had a family picnic organised but got rained out so headed to the Tanti hotel. We showed up without a booking and had 14 in our group. The staff were great and put some tables together right near the playground to keep the kids happy. Meals were really great the kids got there meals first so they ate, then played in the playground and that let us enjoy our meals. Everyone on the table enjoyed their meals and had a great time.

I took my grandma here and she got a three course meal for $16.50 needless to say she was impressed! Also have a gluten free menu and a impressive kids play area. I hear that they are getting renovations done too so I feel like this place is only going to get better. I strongly recommend 🙂
Great Family Bistro. Stopped in at The Tanti with the family on a whim as hadn’t eaten there in a while. The renovations in the bistro with the addition of a kids playroom are great. The kids also got a fun bag when we ordered the meals which kept them busy. The Calamari Fritti was amazing and my wife enjoyed her Lamb souvlaki. Staff were attentive and well presented. We will be going back soon.
Best pub grub in Mornington. A family bistro type pub, nothing fancy & service can be patchy but the food is consistently good & the kitchen is very quick to deliver. Much better than its competitors whose bay views make their meals much more expensive even though the quality is lower. Best pub meals in town.
