MOULD… wow. Cracking the white chocolate off the raspberry bomb revealed a ring of mould underneath. While staff were apologetic the quality of food was not fresh. All other dishes were good but were put off by the significant amount of mould.
Very nice cafe that looked out over the habour and pier.
Waited 45 mins plus for my calamari- our meals all came out at seperate times which is always a pain! When my plate came, the waitress slammed it onto the table and dumped my cutlery. Should have read the reviews before I came!
This restaurant/cafe gains an advantage of its place. It is located exactly by the Mornington Pier. There’s not many cafe around. I think it is only 2-3, therefore visitors just pick one of them.
The food itself is not special but not bad as well. It just OK. They offer vary of menus include pies and cakes.
So, just pick some you like, eat it and move on to your next activities.
We actually wait for almost half an hour for our calamari and the can coke . It was a Sunday afternoon and a long queue. But I have to say they have really fresh & tasty calamari, worth of waiting . Disorganized. Tables are filthy. Covered with old dishes. 30 min wait for coffee. Recommend that you go up the main street for coffee and food instead.
Not the best food. Went there for lunch with a friend – found the menu rather boring and overpriced.
$15.00 for a pie with a bit of salad is outrageous. I wanted the soup of the day but it was ‘sold out’ at 12noon ???
Ended up having a soggy, bland toasted sandwich.
Next time I will just order a take away coffee and wander around looking at the boats
