Had an a amazing dinner here, really something quite special and I love the taster style menu with super fresh ingredients and amazing flavours, only downside is the small venue and sometimes a little loud.

absolutely amazing dinner had here tonight at dashi!
we enjoyed the fried chicken (best Japanese fried chicken on the peninsula), sushi & sashimi (so fresh & melt in your mouth), the tuna special (make sure you eat with all sides provided-awesome!), seaweed salad (nice & refreshing), gyoza (more pieces please! love the fried shallots too!)
is now my new favourite for Japanese! not one to miss! service was attentive & quick! 5 stars!

So good! Salmon sashimi was best I’ve had.

All amazing and fresh. Nice vibe and relatively well priced

A welcome addition to the local scene. We found the food interesting and well thought out and the service prompt and friendly. Good local wines by the glass and at reasonable prices.

Great food and nice atmosphere. Duck was the best I’ve ever had. Pork bun and Tuna were nice too. It’s hard to find this level of food in here. It took a bit of time to get everything we ordered as it was busy and we ordered lots of items, but it’s worth waiting. We’ll definitely go back.

Great service but the smell of cooking oil put me off love the decor …the food was not authentic Japanese but it would suit a lot of people I imagine for a quick meal

Had a meal here a few weeks ago – really enjoyed the food but the decor is a cross between a highly lit 7Eleven store and a lunchtime cafe – bright kitchen lighting spills into dining area. Not a good ambience for evenings. And generally looks a bit scattered and untidy. Maybe just teething probs.
