Everybody I know loves this place! The food is always wonderful (although don’t order the pho it’s not great) the only reason I’m giving this a four rather than a five is because the service isn’t great when it’s busy but that’s easily solved by visiting on a Thursday rather than a Friday/weekend!
The takeaway is also fantastic, I highly recommend grabbing the Vietnamese salad when you order dinner and having it for lunch the next day! (Insert heart eyes emoji hehe)
Cheap and cheerful. We went on a Sunday night and were greeted by friendly and polite staff. We asked for a soup not on the menu and they happily obliged.
Worst Vietnamese food I’ve ever had.. The unpleasant dining experience started when we walked into a musty smelling restaurant. We should have walked out then. We ordered dumplings and prawn spring rolls for entree, both were just edible (we were hungry). The prawn spring rolls seemed to be totally lacking any prawn meat and were filled with grated carrot. My main was a deep fried fish dish which was passable but I wouldn’t call it ‘restaurant quality’. My partner’s chicken dish was also ‘just so’. We also ordered a vegetarian fried rice which was the absolute worst rice dish I’ve ever tried, flavourless, gluggy rice with some frozen mixed veg added. I’m sure even the most basic home cook could do better rice than this. We ended up leaving most of the meal and all of the rice and came home to fill up on something more edible.
Worst service in a very long time. We had been seated for over 40 minutes before anyone approached us. They took an order for drinks which included a request for water. When these eventually arrived the waitress put a bottle of water on the table and left. It took another 30 minutes before she returned to take the food order and gave us the opportunity to ask for glasses. Food was pretty average too – will not be returning
Salty food. The food was way to salty. Walked away with an extremely parched mouth. Not enjoyable at all
Great value, good food and friendly staff.. We love this place, genuine Vietnamese cuisine, friendly staff and prompt service. Like anywhere good they can get busy and bookings are properly a good idea. We’ve been multiple times and always loved the food. Even when super busy and run off their feet they are very friendly and do a great job. They even bought out pencils for our Miss 2.5 to play with while we waited for our meals, which she loved !! Couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Friendly staff and prompt service for a Saturday night. However, the two ‘recommended’ dishes we ordered both had more in common with westernised Chinese flavours than the lighter, refreshing flavours we expect to find at a Vietnamese restaurant.
