I am now addicted to Oyama 24’s lunch Bento box. Divinely fresh ingredients and clearly prepared with an artisan’s attention to detail. Each individual morsel is a delight to savour before moving on to the next. Have now enjoyed three over the past month and consistently delicious. I’ve tried another restaurant’s Bento in between and it paled by comparison and left me disappointed. A great local discovery.
Good food: simply what you would expect for authentic Japanese. Dinner Bento box recommended for a sampler of tastes. Sushi/sashimi boats generous – mini size is plenty for one. Tempura is to die for :). Dining space is small 6 tables for two plus a larger one – it’s sort of cute almost retro 60’s but don’t let that dissuade you. Almost didn’t review ‘cos I wanted to keep it secret.

Local. My wife and I love going here and have followed the team from their origin in Frankston at Megumi’s.
Oyama dishes are terrific and although it is only a very small shopfront, the food is delicious and very authentic.
Well worth trying if you like good Japanese food.
