I hadn’t been here in years and was pleasantly surprised! For the most part anyway… Our little group sat at the front and shared a few pieces off of the menu, each was nice nothing amazing but tasty nonetheless. The service was a little off, we ended up with two waitresses so things kept getting brought to / taken from our table which was frustrating but it was fine.
The reason I’m giving this a less than average review is because of the coffee we ordered before leaving. My boyfriend ordered myself and the third in our group two takeaway coffees. One soy flat white and one dirty chai, the dirty chai was brought out first in a mug (simple mistake we asked if we could tip it into a to go cup, the girl offered to do it, easily fixed) so two takeaway cups came back to the table the waitress clearly repeated our order as she placed the cups down. I sadly didn’t try my coffee before we left and found that I had a dirty chai and so did my friend. Luckily neither of us had soy milk as my friend is very allergic, but sadly I had an upset stomach for the next few days.
I will go back and try again, hopefully it was just a bad day but I’ll be checking every takeaway cup I’m given from now on!
Had an amazing lunch here today, with my sister and a lady very dear to us both. The quality of the food was excellent. I had the Pork Belly, which was cooked perfectly, my sister a beautiful curry and our guest duck with orange sauce. For dessert I had the raspberry souffle, with ice-cream and raspberry sauce. My sister had a beautiful chocolate slice, and our guest an orange pudding with a orange-Cointreau sauce. Would highly recommend this place to anybody. 10/10
Great. Fabulous food and great service.
Yum
Looking forward to returning
Terrible service. This place was recommended by a friend. Huge disappointment. With a group of 4 people we decided to go the share plates on the menu. Table was way to small to even fit the plates we were going to eat off. Then told we should use the bread and butter plates as there wasn’t enough room fit the normal serving plates. They then brought out 3 dishes at onces, knowing the table was way to small to fit them all. When the first dish was finished we had to take the empty plates back to the kitchen ourselves. The waiter walking past just thank the person taking the plate back. He didnt even offer to take the plate. We had to suggest to staff it was a better idea to move to a bigger table.
We ordered a paella which was very salty and side salads that were drowned in balsamic vinegar.
Entree and main share dishes, were not presented with serving utensils.
Would not go back.
Great night!. I had my birthday here last Friday night and had a great night. The food was amazing and all my guests were raving about their meals. I found owner Christine very easy to deal with and also have to mention the staff who were very much under the pump but handled everything with ease. From my experience I would highly recommend.
Worst Night Ever Ever Ever. Dined here with a party for a birthday dinner in early december 2013 Do you get it – was the worst night ever!!!!!!!!!!
We were a party of 10 and despite everyone else having their meals and most finishing theirs and my enquiring several times as to the whereaboutsd of mine, I was continually told it was on its way – when in reality they had forgot it!!!
I really didnt want to eat my food while everyone else had finshed theirs, but didnt want to make a fuss infront of the birthday girl – i was absolutley livid and so upset i was suppressing the tears – it really was so embarassing.
And the cheek of it is the waiter offered me a complimentary coffee!!!!! – wot a joke – i said no thanks i want a conversation with the manager, who freely admitted the chef stuffed up. Why didnt someone just check when someone keeps asking where their food is!!
Cant even remember the food as I was so upset, so really cant comment on it, however it seemed quite pricey.
Wont be going back – E V E R
But i still love the art gallery – just gives me shudders when i have to walk past that place
Luscious London leanings. At last, the quality and flavours of London restaurants come to Mt Eliza with the finesse and depth of chef Rob’s menu and dishes.
The food was superb, the service warm, but subtle and the decor tasteful and comfortable. Chef Rob came out for a brief chat – and perhaps could work on his raconteur skills (naturally shy, I suspect) – but we will definitely be returning. Slightly pricier than other restaurants, but well worth the extra if you want something a bit special.
