Had a meal here with a friend the other night – it was sensational! Placed amongst the endless stream of Italian restaurants on Lygon street, Rasoi is a hidden gem deserving of a lot more customers.
Tandoori chicken entree came out still sizzling on a hot grill plate which was delicious. For mains we had the chicken tikka masal and the paneer makini with naan and saffron rice as well as a bottle of wine. All up for two of us it was only $80!
The food is absolutely sensational, full of flavour and freshness and our waiter was extremely polite and helpful. Whilst we were there, only two other customers sat down to dine which was disappointing for the workers. Do yourself a favour – step away from the Italian on Lygon street for one night and give this place a go!
Went to the Sorrento Rasoi, Tasteless Food, Overpriced and Very Small Portions. I would never go back. I am surprised the restaurant is still operating as I would never eat there even if I was offered the food for free. The cooks don’t know joevto cook indisn food. Everything taste the same.
Awesome Indian, great quality. I would die for the Lamb Korma it is superb. The food takes a while to be cooked though, the staff can be hard to understand as well. Also the flavours are bold and authentic.
