If you go to this place with the same mentality that you go with when buying food at the football you won’t be disappointed. Just expect to pay a pretty penny for average at best food and with a large coffee setting you back nearly 6 dollars you are better off bringing your own to work as it’s not much better than a McCafe flat white.
Seems to be quite popular cafe/diner in industrial area … so nothing like real restaurant etc. place is clean, friendly staff. Dunno why all the hassle about the coffee.. yeah, normal coffee. Food is what you can expect from highway diners. Soft, cold, blunt vegetables. Fries as they normally are. Big parmas etc. nothing special but still not so bad either. Will go again… best of close by options.
Excellent coffee. Staff are extremely friendly, good is reasonably priced and the coffee that chick is amazing! Nice and clean and quick to get your food and coffee
My preferred coffee. It’s a bit nicer than your regular industrial estate cafe, but has higher prices because of it. The food is good enough for what it is, but not better than the other side of Ferntree Gully Road (which also ain’t cheap). But the coffee…
When they get it right (which used to be always, but alas, no longer. A little hit and miss now) it is the best cappuccino or flat white in Melbourne. Well, it is if your preferred is Piazza D’Oro like mine is. Milano blend, I believe.
Now all you coffeenista’s that say you have to have 100% arabica, and think St Ali’s is the Holy Grail, stay away (you nancy girls you). I don’t want your type at my local. Real men don’t mind a bit of robusta. Just like the great houses in France don’t mind a little something to improve the blend, or our very own Grange Hermitage. The coffee here is a man’s drink. And, er, a ladies drink, if you are a lady. it’s not the insipid, lukewarm rubbish at St Ali. Just don’t eat the biscuit (I’m being literal, it’s not urban slang), it ruins the flavour of the coffee.
Staff not that friendly. Weak coffee
Great coffee and they are quick to make it. Had lunch there a few times and the food was good for the price.
Also they returned my wallet after I stupidly left it there.
